Seton Catholic School
Meal Charge & Discrimination Policies
Seton Catholic School Meal Charge Policy
The negative balance policy is set up on a per-student basis.
Student may charge meals up to a negative balance of $50.00 per student. Once this limit has been reached, students will be given a government-compliant and nutritionally sound “Alternative Lunch” consisting of a sandwich, a serving of fruit or vegetable and milk. There is no charge for an alternative meal. Students will not be given an “Alternative Meal” until every effort has been made to ensure payment.
Deposits brought to school may not be recorded the same day. We suggest that you pay in advance so funds are available.
All payments will first be applied to an outstanding negative balance on the account. The following method of communication will be applied
- Standard email and/or paper statement sent to parents when a student reaches a -$0.00 balance
- Personalized email sent to parents when a student reaches a -$20.00 balance
- Phone call home when a student reaches a -$40.00
If you need account information or assistance, please call Cindy Nierling or Clayton Ellsworth at (563) 556-5967.
Parents are strongly encouraged to apply for free and reduced priced meals. If you need assistance with this please let us know.
