My name is Marah Williams, I have lived in Dubuque for four years. I have taught Special Education at the elementary level up to 6th grade and have been a classroom teacher. I have taught in Ohio, Texas, and Kansas City, MO. I have been blessed that the majority of my teaching has been in Christian schools. My passion is working with students and helping them strive to be the best they can be inside and outside of the classroom.
I graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Special Education. I furthered my education by obtaining a Kindergarten license for the state of Ohio shortly after graduating. While in Texas I continued my professional development taking courses to keep up with my Indiana teaching certification. I recently completed the necessary courses to obtain an Iowa Teaching license.
My husband, Alan, and I have been married for 21 years and we have three children, my oldest – Matthew, is a sophomore at Loras and plays on the Men’s soccer team, my middle child – Micah, is a freshman at University of Iowa, and our daughter – Hannah is now a Junior at Hempstead. Students and friends know me for my love of Mickey Mouse, and yes I have been to Disney World . . . 13 times and counting!
