Deanne Luensmann, 5th grade teacher

Deanne earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) and her master’s degree from Viterbo University. She holds a middle school endorsement and K-9 teaching certificate.

She began her career at St. Joseph’s in Earlville and taught there for six years before starting at Seton Catholic when it was established in 1993! Deanne taught six years in the middle school and then began teaching fifth grade and been there ever since!

Deanne is married, she has 11 grandchildren, and she loves to go fishing with her husband during the summer.

Teaching Philosophy: Building a relationship with my students is very important.  I feel all students can grow if they put in the time and effort.
